Moving on to hair growth waters or tonics. These are my go-to when I need a quick scalp refresh. I’ve been using these home made remedies and noticed a significant difference in the fullness of my hair. It’s lightweight and doesn’t leave any residue – perfect for a busy bee like me!

Plus it is much easier to commit and stay consistent, i personally like using once every single day and massage in the water tonic to my bald spots.

Hair Growth Water Recipes

1. Rosemary + Mint Leaves – Now, you can use fresh or dry leaves according to you. Add 3 branches of rosemary ( i.e if you are using it fresh, water them thoroughly cut them and add them to 1 Big glass of water, similarly use 1.5 tablespoons for dried leaves)

Add in some 8 to 10 mint leaves in the same water and leave it to infuse overnight. Next day, boil the infused water in low heat for 10 mins and then let it cool and add it to spray bottle. And, then store in fridge apply it in your bald spots or overall scalp every single night massage and sleep. No need to wash it off the next morning, you can’t store this water for more than 10 days.

2. Clove Water – Trust me, this water works if used everyday without fail. Works for aloepecia too.

Ingredients- 15 Cloves + 1 Big glass Water + Peppermint oil ( optional)

Directions- I like to infuse my water overnight ( because it helps to cut down the boiling time next day)

Boil The Cloves and Water for 15 mins on medium to low heat and then let it cool down. After, strain the cloves don’t throw it ( you can leave them to airdry and reuse them after grinding it to your food, no waste and it is so good actually)

Now, we add in 5-6 drops of peppermint essential oil, if you have rosemary essential oil you can add in too. Add in the spray bottle, shake the bottle throughly before using it and store it in the fridge for 15 days max.

Application- Every single day whenever you find the time and do not wash off.

3. Fenugreek Seeds + Kalonji Seeds Water

( Famous for reducing hair fall significantly)

Ingredients- 1 tablespoon Fenugreek + 1 Tablespoon Kalonji ( Aka Black Seeds) + 1 Glass Water

Process: Soak them overnight, boil them at medium low heat for 10 mins and Let it sit until cold, strain and store in a spray bottle and refrigerate it for 15 days.

Application: Use it 4 times a week

3. Hair Serum

Now, you may think that first i suggest hair water and now i am suggesting hair serum? Well, that is because we all may not be the diy or hair oiling types because honestly sometimes we just can’t have the time, energy and patience. That’s where hair serum comes in they are potent, less greasy and actually helps in hair growth. So, A total win, right?

You can also look for ingredients like caffeine, niacinemide, peptides.

• 1/2 cup water

• 1 tablespoon vegetable glycerin
• 5-10 drops essential oil (optional) ( You can use rosemary, lavender or peppermint)

Instructions:

1. Boil fenugreek seeds, flaxseeds, and water for 10-15 mins, then strain.
2. Mix strained gel with aloe vera gel, vegetable glycerin, and essential oil (if using).
3. Store in a container.

How to Use:

3. Jamaican Black Castor Oil Serum

( Works Best for African hair and people with high porosity hair)

Ingredients: 2 tbsp Jamaican black castor oil + 1 tbsp argan oil + 1 tbsp jojoba oil + 5-10 drops rosemary essential oil + 5-10 drops lavender essential oil

Instructions:

1. Mix oils in a bowl.

2. Transfer to a container ( I like to store in cool, dry and dark area and you easily store upto 3 months ) Since oils don’t belong in fridge.

How to use: • Massage onto scalp and ends.
• Leave for 30 mins or overnight. • Rinse with water or shampoo.

4. Use Minoxidil

Minoxidil is one of the few treatments approved by the FDA for hair loss, known to stimulate hair growth and slow balding.How to Use: Apply as directed on the packaging, usually twice daily, and be patient for results.Product Suggestion:Rogaine is a well-established brand that many dermatologists recommend.

If you are new to this, i would start with 2% first and try it for 2 months before switching to much higher percentage.
