Listing you all the methods and products you need to achieve the smoothest skin and keep those tiny little bumps at bay.
1. Exfoliate
Yes, exfoliate your way to clear skin. But, how will we exfoliate?
When it comes to treating chicken skin, AHA and BHA works the best. It helps to clear off the dead skin cells and increase cell turnover.
AHA consists of :
• Lactic Acid
• Glycolic Acid
• Malic Acid
BHA consists of:
• Salicylic Acid
So, we will use the products that contain these acid to treat our skin.
Amazon wale products daalo

2. Moisturizer
Chicken skin often tends to feel pretty much rough at times and gets very dry, if worsens your skin even further. And with all the use of these acids to treat, your skin tends to become more dry than usual. So, moisturizing is the key over here to get healthy skin and smooth skin.
My favorite way of treating KP is getting a moisturizer with AHA and BHA in it already.
3. Stay Hydrated
Maintain your hydration game and get that soft skin. Track your daily water intake and if it’s a less than 6 glass a day, please drink water then.
4. Use Humidifier
If you live in colder weather, it is really important to invest in a humidifier which help with creating moisture in the atmosphere and use it at nights during the cold months, as it tends to make your skin much dryer and rough.
5. Use Retinoids For Your Face
If you have keratosis pilaris on your face (mostly occurs on cheeks), then it is best to use retinoids to maintain smooth skin.
Whenever, you are starting with retinoids keep these things in mind :
• Start out with low percentage and gradually work your way up if required.
• Begin with applying it twice / 2x a week
• Slowly, work up till alternate days in a week after a month according to you if you feel the need.
• Always and only use a pea sized amount for your whole face. Less is more in this case.
• It can cause peeling of dead skin cells that may appear as a flaky or dry skin like, so always use a moisturizer after.
• It can make your skin sensitive to sun so always wear sunscreen before you head out.
